Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY)

🔹 Overview:
Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) is a placement-linked skill development program under the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), Government of India. It is part of the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM) and aims to empower rural youth by providing them with industry-relevant skills and access to jobs that can transform their lives.
🔹 Objectives:
To reduce poverty by enabling rural youth to access skilled employment opportunities.
To diversify the income of rural poor families and reduce their dependence on traditional agriculture.
PM Vishwakarma Yojana
Honoring Traditional Skills. Empowering Modern Livelihoods.
Launched by the Government of India, the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana is an initiative to uplift and empower traditional artisans and craftspeople across the country. The scheme aims to support individuals practicing age-old trades by integrating them into formal training and business systems, improving their skills, productivity, and income opportunities.
🔹 Target Beneficiaries:
Traditional artisans and craft workers from 18 designated trades, such as:
Carpenter (Suthar)
Blacksmith (Lohar)
Goldsmith (Sunar)
Potter (Kumhar)
Cobbler (Charmkar)
SURYAMITRA Skill Development Program
Powering the Future with Solar Skills
The Suryamitra Skill Development Program is a flagship initiative by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India. It aims to train technically qualified youth to become skilled solar technicians capable of installing, maintaining, and servicing solar energy systems. The program plays a key role in supporting India’s ambitious solar energy targets under the National Solar Mission.
To create a pool of trained solar professionals known as “Suryamitras” who can meet the rising demand for a skilled workforce in the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar photovoltaic (PV) system installation and servicing.
🔹 Target Beneficiaries:
Unemployed ITI/diploma holders in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or other relevant fields
Youth aged 18–30 years (age relaxation for reserved categories)
Candidates with a passion for green energy and interest in field work
National Urban Livelihoods Mission (EST&P)

The Employment through Skill Training & Placement (EST&P) component under the National Urban Livelihoods Mission (NULM) is a key initiative of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India. It aims to equip urban poor youth with market-relevant skills that enhance their employability and support sustainable livelihood opportunities in urban India.
To provide skill training to urban unemployed and underemployed youth for gainful wage employment and self-employment by aligning them with industry demands and market needs.
